Cartier French Tank Chronograph ~FULL 18K GOLD ~ & Perpetual Calendar as well!
One time owner, watch was given to me as a gift. This timeless model is in excellent condition. The quartz movement keeps very accurate time, no need to ever wind the watch! Of course, it has a chronograph feauture, as well as the day of the month. In addition, the watch features a perpetual calendar - that properly set - will recognize which months don't have 31 days, and adjusts accordingly.
There are few visible scratches that can be easily polished, and some 'swirlies' from rubbing against my shirt/coat. I chose not to have this watch polished so that the new owner can appreciate how little the watch was used. Another way to tell is by looking at the bracelet from the sides. You will be able to see that there is very little bend, if any on the bracelet. If anything the bracelet wants to fall because of its heavy weight of gold, not from use! Also, please note that you will see many more 'swirlies' from the pictures than from the naked eye while wearing the watch.
The watch has never been used underwater or while playing sports. Cartier claims it's water resistant up to 30m.
As you can see from the pictures, the watch was bought on May 5,1999. But, it was used very little in alternation with many other watches in my collection. After I became a Panerai addict, the watch went straight to the safe approx. 2001.
List price I'm told is $26k. You can steal this watch for 65% off list. This is a man's watch, but given the trend toward's larger watches, it looks beautiful on a lady - and its quartz - no disrespect, but most women I know don't like to wind watches, my wife included!
