Description

Hello, I'm switching to wearing mostly sports style watches now so I'm willing to move my beloved special edition BMOP Resonance made for Sincere Fine Watches to someone who can love it.  Full complete set and it was serviced by the manufacturer in April 2016.  It was not polished during the servicing.
Watch from circa 2006.
Case, movement, and buckle are pink gold and all are signed F.P. Journe.
Case width is 40.5mm and thickness is about 9mm.
I have an extra black crocodile strap from F.P. Journe that is included.
Includes the outer box; presentation box; Certificate of Origin signed by F.J. Journe himself that indicates the watch is 1 of 10 created uniquely for Sincere; F.P. Journe cleaning cloth; instruction manual; F.P. Journe service papers, service box.
Please PM me with your contact info if interested.  Face-to-face deal in NYC preferred.  Also am willing to ship (all shipping & insurance costs are extra and not included in my price)

Not really interested in trades anymore unless you have a Patek Philippe sports-style reference.  Feel free to tell me what PP ref you have to offer, complete sets only.

📖 About This Reference

The Chronomètre à Résonance represents F.P. Journe's entry in the Souveraine collection, distinguished by its resonance complication. This reference utilizes the principle of resonance between two independent escapements to enhance chronometric precision. The 40mm case is crafted in 18k rose gold with a fixed bezel and sapphire crystal. The silver dial houses the manual-winding caliber 1499 movement, offering a 42-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 30 meters, and the watch is completed with a leather strap. This reference appeals to collectors focused on haute horlogerie complications and independent watchmaking. The resonance mechanism positions this piece as a technical showcase within F.P. Journe's manual-winding offerings. Production began in 2000, establishing this as part of the brand's contemporary catalog for collectors seeking advanced chronometric functions.

Swatch x AP release and MoonSwatch generate hype and excitement. Swatch focuses on fun and fashion at affordable prices. Limited editions like AP and Journe lack the same enjoyable experience.

BMOP that dial looks black....not BMOP...  am I missing something?

No disrespect intended...

It's not the green-blue MOP that is typically used in other watches that's what everyone knows about MOP and frankly the well-known green-blue or blue-green MOP is a love or hate kind of affair. Don't worry I had to research it too. With the BMOP Resonance, what FPJ did was selected a very dark (red underlying color) MOP to complement the PG case material. It works - the blackish MOP with PG is the best combination! FPJ's BMOP is an understated artisanal creation, sort of like black enamel, and you either know it & appreciate the secret or you don't.

Hints of the dark red on the right-side of the dial

I'm a bit confused too on the BMOP designation The texture on the dial just doesn't look like any version of MOP that I've seen. It's way too smooth. Perhaps it's just the camera angle that not flattering the MOP dial. I'm not insinuating that the OP is being misleading, I'm not not seeing what I would expect to see from a BMOP dial. Here are photos of a different BMOP RN. You can clearly see the texture and colored reflections on the dial.

It is a different MOP haha...man, you guys are coming out of the woodwork. but no offense taken. smile it's a fair enough question.
it's a royal pain to take a picture of this dial at the right angle to see the MOP colors. basically the BMOP that FPJ chose for my Sincere piece is a very very dark red. That's the underlying color that comes out and I can only capture a faint amount of it via the camera (near 4 o'clock in pic).

Why is this BMOP so dark?  I don't know.  I know each MOP dial is different because they are difficult to work with and finish.  I did research on the public info out there and found enough to make sense for me.  I would invite you to read into it (see 4 links below) and trust what you are willing to trust.  The bottom line is I have the papers and the FPJ Boutique is on Madison Ave in NYC and I will be happy enough to go there with any prospective buyer to get FPJ's final word if there are any doubts.

Thanks, Joe. Didn't mean to challenge you and put you on the defensive. It's a just a different looking MOP than I've ever seen on a Journe. I do believe it's MOP and it's an incredible piece with a beautiful and unique dial.
Best,
Jonathan

Thanks for the kind words Jonathan No worries at all.

Great watch and one of my favorite versions of the Resonance If I am not mistaken, this should be Sincere BMOP Resonance RG in limited edition of 10 in 2004. The dial is black-lacquered MOP, which is pure black, different from natural black MOP. Journe has used quite a few MOP dials for a number of models including Resonance. Most of these MOP dials are natural colored. Like a typical MOP dial, they change color and hue from different angles under different lightings. For example, Journe made another LE for Sincere, 25 pieces for Resonance PT with black natural MOP dial this time, circa 2006.

Thanks Schen for leaving your thoughts my research indicates the first series from FPJ for Sincere LE was circa 2005 which my watch is part of. (My sources are old postings by SJX and AndrewD.). And then a second series for Pt rolled out that same year. Cheers.
