Description

Absolutely stunning solid 18k yellow gold Girard Perregaux chronograph. I believe that this model was made until about 2000.

It is on an original GP croc (85%) that was replaced when GP serviced the watch a couple of years ago. It has an 18k deployant buckle that to my eyes appears rose gold.

Conservative Timezone rating on this watch is 88%.

There are a few minor dings to the bezel and case, none visible to my naked 50 year old eyes. The lug tops and sides are excellent. One inside lug bottom has a dent. I don't see any flaws on the crystal. Dial, markers and hands appear near perfect. The lume dots still work but not as new.

The watch has been professionally polished several times during its life, and so the numbers on the bezel and caseback are not as crisp as they were when new. The Series number on the caseback is barely legible, but everything else is.

There are no boxes or papers available for this watch.

I have been a fan of GP watches for many years and have owned my fair share. This one might be the most beautiful one that I have owned. It has such a classic look to it. It goes equally well with a suit or with jeans.

The watch is 38mm wide not including the crown. It is about 12mm thick. The registers are all operate "comme il faut" and line up where they belong.

I will consider trades for other sport watches that are 40mm or larger.

The only other example of this watch that I have found for sale is offered at $6000. I am asking $5000 OBRO.
