Glashütte Senator Automatic

OK folks.....while I hate to sell this one, an opportunity to buy a "dream watch" of sorts has presented itself, and this one will need to go (along with at least one other watch in my collection) in order to make room.

This is Glashütte Original Ref. 100-08-01-01-04. The watch was originally purchased by me from the best GO authorized dealer in the US in late November 2006, and thus has over 1 year remaining on the manufacturer warranty. The watch has been worn relatively sparingly, and is in VG condition (per this site's criteria). It has no major scratches or dings, and shows only minor hairlines consistent with a lightly used gold watch.

Technical characteristics
Reference: 100-08-01-01-04
Movement: Glashütte Original automatic caliber 100. Note that this has the upgraded movement with screwed gold chatons only found on GO's precious metal watches.
Case: 40.1mm diameter, 9.8mm thick. 18k rose gold, with sapphire crystals front and back.
Strap: Alligator, with fitted ends. Solid 18K gold deployant buckle.

All relevant boxes/papers are present, of course. The beautiful wood presentation box also includes a beautiful wood loupe for viewing the watch.

This is not a common watch, as evidenced by the very low serial number. It is also a great modern-sized dress watch for those who find the 34mm to 36mm watches a bit too small. Because of the gold case, it feels really substantial on the wrist compared to many other watches I've owned.

The most recent retail price on this watch is $12,400. Asking price for this watch is US$6,990 including insured overnight shipping anywhere in the USA.

I will not ship internationally unless the offer is extremely compelling. I will entertain all reasonable offers, but I am not interested in trades at this point.
