FS: IWC 5251 Portofino Moonphase - The Best Looking Watch of All Time?





IWC 5251 Portofino Moonphase is often called the best looking watch of all time, and one look at the pictures will tell you why. This rarely offered model has become a collectors’ classic and only shows up for sale once every few years or so. If you have been hoping to find one, here is your chance.

The watch measures 46 mm diameter but is super comfortable on even modest size wrists due to its very thin 10 mm profile and short, sharply curved lugs. The in-house IWC movement is just gorgeous to see through the display back.

My watch is in Near Mint condition on period glossy black alligator IWC strap with original gold tang buckle. The watch is accompanied by period correct (though not the original) boxes and an Official Extract from the IWC Archives. I also have the receipt from a full service done by IWC in Schaffhausen (copy and details upon request). I timed the watch over the course of a full week, during which it ran spot on!
