United StatesFor sale here is one I’ll likely never be able to replace – but, I need to fund another timepiece so here goes. This is the original 812 which was recently “hommaged” by IWC as part of their new “vintage line”.
The IWC Aquatimer 812 is truly one of the iconic timepieces of the past century, and at the absolute pinnacle within the diver category. This is the diver that started it all for IWC in the underwater world. I won’t go into the details of this watch here, as you can find plenty of background and history on this extremely rare timepiece across the web.
I haven’t seen an 812 offered for sale in quite some time now – and certainly not in this condition. I’m fairly comfortable in saying that you won’t find a better example anywhere – authentic, correct, in wonderful shape and running quite well.
The “Pellaton” 8541 movement, a masterpiece in and of itself, looks and performs as if it were brand new. Inner rotating bezel turns as it should. “Super compressor” dual crowns, dial, case, case back, etc. are all 100% original and authentic.
As a bonus, I was able to track down the correct IWC 812 bracelet, which is pictured in the scans and included in purchase price.
Price is now reduced to $8,350, plus shipping. (which is significantly less than I paid for it and also the price at which I’ve seen lesser examples sell). I’d be shocked if you could find one within $4,000 of this price. If it doesn’t sell here, back into the collection it goes…..
Please feel free to contact me at [Email address suppressed for privacy] with any questions. Plenty of references are available upon request.

(note – all pictures are of the actual watch for sale, however the first 4 scans were taken by the seller from whom I originally purchased the watch)
