IWC Aquatimer Cousteau Divers Boutique Edition (

The IWC Aquatimer “Cousteau Divers” were created to pay tribute to the Frenchman, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, who found fame as a pioneer of diving, and became the first man to explore the underwater world and invented the equipment used in the scuba diving. IWC released in 2004 this stainless steel Cousteau Diver, which is limited to 1953 individually numbered pieces in commemorating the first Red Sea expedition by Jacques-Yves Cousteau back in 1953.

The Cousteau Divers watch is powered by the automatic IWC Caliber 30110, with 21 jewels and a 42-hour power reserve. Water-resistant upto 1000 meters. It has a mechanical rotating inner bezel, screwed-in crown, a convex sapphire crystal, coated on both sides, a very unique striking deep-blue dial, orange minute indices, date-display at 3, centre seconds with stop function and luminous elements on hands, dial and hour markers. Specially-made matching high quality IWC rubber strap. Back of the case is engraved with the signet of the Alcyone, Jacques Cousteau’s famous high-tech expedition vessel, this indeed make it a collector’s score. 

Diameter 42 mm. Watch was purchased from the IWC in 2005 from a collector in Taiwan. It comes with all papers but the original box is very much oxidised hence I am offering an alternate IWC box provided by IWC servicing centre. This limited edition Cousteau Diver since released in 2004 has been completely sold out. Hence do not miss this opportunity.
