Description

The watch I offer to sell is a pre-owned IWC Da Vinci Tourbillon, Perpetual Calendar, Chronograph, and Moonphase watch with original IWC 18K Gold Bracelet.  Ref. No. 3752 in mint condition overall.  Limited Edition of only 200 pieces produced worldwide.  This watch is No. 131/200.  Case No. 2771150.  Movement No. 2754427.  Very fine and rare, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with one-minute flying tourbillon regulator, round button chronograph registers, perpetual calendar, moonphases and an 18K yellow gold IWC bracelet.  A 100% all original and authentic IWC watch with original and authentic IWC 18K gold bracelet.  Case, dial, movement, bracelet, and crown all stamped IWC.  Watch does not come with the original IWC box or papers.

The dial is super clean and in immaculate condition throughout (not a spec of dust on the dial or on the movement) (please see photos).  There are no scratch marks on the case or bracelet.  The watch has never been opened before so there are no scratch marks on the movement or the blued case screws.  Mechanically the watch is sound and there is nothing wrong with this watch.  All time keeping, calendar, chronograph, moonphase, and tourbillon functions operate as intended.  The watch runs strong and accurately.  This watch has been kept in a temperature and humidity controlled safe in my care.

This watch comes with the rare 18K bracelet with deployant clasp (as opposed to leather strap) and only a few (perhaps 5?) out of the 200 pieces were ever made with the 18K gold bracelet, making this watch a piece unique.  You will not find a Ref. No. 3752 with the coveted 18K bracelet for sale anywhere online.  With the 18K solid gold case and 18K bracelet this watch is heavy and you can feel the heft when you wear it on your wrist.  You know it is there.

Attached is a copy of “Wristwatch Annual 2003” which is a catalog of all the major Swiss watch producers, models, specifications, and MSRPs for these timepieces.  On page 191 of the catalog is the IWC Ref. No. 1752 showing a 2003 list price of US $59,995.  This is the price for the regular Ref. No. 1752 with leather strap and buckle.  I recently spoke to a representative at IWC corporate and was told the particular Ref. 1752 I have with matching bracelet retailed for US $75,000 back in 2005.

I will consider a trade of this IWC timepiece for a Patek Philippe Annual Calendar 5396G-011.

I am located in the Los Angeles, California area so if you want to see the watch in person I can show it to you.

In your opinion what are today's exclusive complications that are within reach?
30+ years ago, a fairly common consensus was the Rattrapante (until simplification via IWC's 3711), or the tourbillon that's now available via suppliers for many middle-tier brands, or the perpetual calendar (again, simplified by IWC's da vinci) that can now be found on the secondary market for less

She has arrived today!!
And thank God she is in excellent condition. The Watch is NOS (new, never worn). However, it has been stored for 15 years. The box is in bad condition, but all papers exist. Usually I don't do that (to buy on suspicion). I saw this watch many years ago and otherwise only know pictures from the Inter

An old love: IWC Portuguese 7 Days Perpetual Calendar platinum, LE of 250 pieces, year 2003.
When it was issued, this Portuguese 7 Days Perpetual Calendar took my heart. Love at first sight. Ok, the case is big ( 44, 2 mm ) and thick( 15, 5 mm ), but the dial is so clean, elegant and cool. And at that time, having 2 moon phase, one for each hemisphere, wasn't that that common. Credit pictur
