FS: IWC Portuguese 125th Anniversary - Steel - Ref 5441
This is a special watch, probably the most special piece IWC had made in the last few decades. Limited to only 1000 in steel.
This was released in 1993 for the 125th Anniversary of IWC.
- It is a faithful tribute, an exacting one, to the legendary vintage IWC Portuguese pieces of the 1940s
- The watch is simply timeless, with the lovely dial, numerals, leaf hands, and of course the amazing long signature of “International Watch Co. Schaffhausen” left to right.
- The case is 42mm and quite thin and wearable, even on smaller wrists.The movement is a work of art. Fits the case perfectly and -- well just LOOK AT IT! Stunning to say the least.
- Condition is spectacular - see pictures, I would say 92% VG condition simply to be conservative.
- Comes with watch and IWC service / travel box.
For many IWC collectors, this is a modern grail piece. It deserves that. The steel case, perfect dial, and superb movement - this watch is as good as it gets for a time only watch.
Very few come to market and when they do, they move quickly.
