The Pilot’s Watch Automatic Edition “Laureus Sport forGood” is the 15th special edition with which IWC supportsover 250 programmes from Laureus Sport for worldwide. Forthe first time, this Laureus special edition combines a dial inthe typical Laureus blue with a hard and scratch-resistantblue ceramic case. The dark blue hue is the result of acomplex manufacturing process. In this process, zirconiumoxide is mixed with other metallic oxides, shaped, and thensintered in a furnace. The IWC-manufactured 32111 calibremovement ensures a precise rate. Thanks to an improvedbarrel, it offers an impressive power reserve of 120 hours.This pilot’s watch, too, features a soft iron inner case toprotect the movement from the effects of magnetic fields.The titanium case back is engraved with the winning drawingfrom the competition that IWC organizes every year forprogrammes supported by Laureus Sport for Good. Thewinning drawing was submitted by 12-year-old Melissa MejíaCastilla from Colombia and is entitled “Vivir en Armonía”(Live in Peace). Melissa participates in activities organizedby Fundación Colombianitos, an organization promotinggender equality through sport, among other things. Limitedto 750 pieces, this sporty pilot’s watch is fitted with a bluerubber strap with textile inlay.
