IWC Portuguese Pisa

The IWC Ref 5441 Jubilee Portuguese is one of the most popular IWC models of all time. These were issued as Limited Editions in three case metals: 1000 in Steel, 500 in Rose gold, and 250 in Platinum.

Far more rare and virtually impossible to find today is a very special Limited Edition of 50 issued in 1997 and sold exclusively through only one retailer in the entire world – Pisa Orologi of Milan, Italy. The reference is 5441-07, usually known as the IWC Pisa Portuguese.

Essentially identical in most respects to the previous Portugueses, the Pisa differed from the Jubilee only in dial appearance. Inspired by IWC’s pocket watches, has blue Breguet numerals that perfectly match the leaf hands, blued with burnish technique, and the Pisa logo applied on it.

The manufacture movement with manual winding is enclosed in a 42mm steel case and the sapphire caseback gives you a large view on the Caliber 9828 (inspired by the original IWC caliber 98 from 1944) with its special "Pisa" and limited number engraving.

At an issue of only 50-pieces, the IWC Portuguese Pisa has become even harder to find than the early originals.

The watch comes in it complete original set. A special wooden box made for this limited edition with original papers and PISA certificate. Even the original strap, stamped "PISA" is included in the set.
