Jaeger LeCoultre Duoplan slide cover

Duoplan - the Jaeger-LeCoultre legend started with this model, it got retailed by Cartier and Jaeger and LeCoultre. Description: Entirely 18k yellow gold case with matching numbers on every part ob the case: hinged back, slide cover and case itself. This watch includes the often missing securing bold on the opposite side of the hinge-joint. Movement is the rare caliber 409 (9BF), the largest and therefor most accurate caliber of the Duoplan family. Of course the tight fitting gold plated movement cover is in place. Dial is original and not refinished. Movement reads: Swiss - Jaeger - Fab. Suisse - Adj. to temp. and two 2 pos. - fifteen 15 jewels. The cleanest and unscratched I ever saw - running strong and keeping time. There is no visible serial number, which is typical for the early production runs. Case serial is 24975 which dates back to 1931 Crystal is saphire and totally original Watch is accoplished by a solid 18k yg buckle and a new matching strap.
