Reluctantly parting ways with my single-owner JLC Reverso Ultra Thin 1931 Chocolate that rarely comes up for sale, to make room for another incoming. Still under original JLC warranty.
It combines a soft pink gold case with a brown dial inspired by an early Reverso from Jaeger-LeCoultre's archives, finishing everything off with a burgundy cordovan strap from Argentinian polo boot maker Casa Fagliano.
This is the 'Grand Reverso' size, at 46.8mm x 27.4mm and only 7.3mm thick.
The chocolate brown dial complements the case perfectly. It doesn't have a faux-tropical effect, instead looking very purposefully brown. The sword hands are faceted and plated with pink gold, while the markers are luminous, including the "12" at the top of the dial.
Inside is the manually-wound JLC in-house calibre 822/2, which beats at 3 Hz, has 19 jewels, and features a 45-hour power reserve.
The watch is in very good condition, with only some surface hairlines on the case, which I've tried to show transparently in the photos. Importantly, the watch has never been polished and runs perfectly. The original Casa Fagliano strap and gold JLC buckle are also in excellent condition, as seen in the photos. It is a full-set, with box & paperwork.
Priced at $13,500, shipped CONUS fully-insured. I have plenty of references in the watch community.
Thanks.
