This is one of the very versatile functional watches manufactured by Jaeger Lecoultre. The inner bezel can be turned to time an event whether you going scuba diving or reminding you of your parking meter. The dial between 9 and 12 shows your hometime in 24 hour indication. The other window at 5 shows another timezone which has a 12-hour difference. Of course when you are traveling, the home time hour hand which is hiding behind will appear in white.
The inspiration of the design of this time piece came from the Polaris. Size at 41.5mm with a thin bezel and a clear date. The design was meant to be a classic and it is. The compressor keys when locked will turn this watch into a truly water resistant timer down to 10ATM. Some collectors have shown this limit is conservative.
Behind the rose gold medallion sits the famous auto-tractor movement which designed from the ground up and can withstand shocks that the wearer may even suffer from scratches as a result of the incidence. It is a movement developed by JLC to compete with other toughest movements on the market.
The casing is almost perfect on the sides. If it is imperfect, they are hairlines which are minor markings on the bezel that are unavoidable unless the watch is chained in its box.
The bracelet is the result of years of research. It is solid, rugged and has micro adjustments to allow comfortable wearing whether it is in the cold winter or hot summer. One link unfortunately has gone missing but it will still fit 99% of wrist size.
This sporty watch from the discontinued Master Compressor line had a regular interval full overhaul in March at JLC service centre. Warranty continues to run for months.
