In order to fund a new acquisition, I am selling of the very few modern
watches which I believe is destined to achieve "classic" status. This
original Jaeger LeCoultre Master Grande Taille model was introduced in
1992, and has been replaced by the current Master Control model. Many
people, myself included, prefer the size, proportions (especially the
bezel), and/or hands of this original model.
The MGT was
built to withstand the rigors of JLC's famed 1000 hours of testing, and
to be water resistant to 50 meters. It has a truly beautiful silver
dial with dagger markers, Arabic numerals at 6, 9 and 12, a blued
second hand, and a quick-set date at three. The crystal is sapphire and
the non-screw down crown is signed. This particular MGT comes on a fine
and correct JLC bracelet which is extremely comfortable. I have sized
it to my relatively small wrist, but will of course include all of the
extra links for the next owner.
The watch is in excellent
condition, with only very light signs of wear on the case and bracelet.
The dial is mint. The movement is the excellent 36 jewel JLC cal 889/2,
and, while it has not been serviced recently, it remains in fine
working order.
These original MGT's are becoming
increasingly difficult to find on the secondary market, especially in
this condition and on a bracelet. This particular opportunity is even
more unusual in that I have the original box, and all of the originally
included materials including the unsigned guarantee card!
I
will accept $3,000.00 for the watch, and will pay shipping, insurance,
and Paypal fees within the U.S. I have plenty of references, and am
quite sure that whomever buys this watch will be very happy with their
decision.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Regards,
Tony C.
