If there was ever a watch whose depth of color and beauty made it nearly impossible to capture, you are gazing at it. The Kari Voutilainen Observatoire, along with Philippe Dufour's Simplicity, seemed to give birth to the Independent Watch as we know it today. Flawless White Gold case with teardrop lugs, and a blue hand guilloche dial that reminds me of late afternoon on the ocean-- this has to be a defining piece in anyone's collection. I could blather on... but if you are looking at this watch, you know more than I can tell. I won't even try to convey the heart-ache of how beautiful the movement is. It is just a great and sustaining pleasure to behold.
This watch is literally in perfect condition. There is not a mark, blemish, of any kind. All boxes, all papers, as when sold new by Kari Voutilainen.
Rolex SS sport-watches might be a temptation for trade, but I would prefer the majority of the sale to be in funds.
Let me know if I can be of any help answering questions. My humble picture taking skills follow...
Thanks,
