Description

FT – New Omega Aqua Terra with 8500 in-house movement, new “teck” dial treatment, and newly designed screwed bracelet for a nice vintage Omega Connie or possibly Seamaster.

I have what I think might be a very interesting trade opportunity for the right individual. I have a new Aqua Terra – 41.5mm with the deep gray “teck” dial treatment and Omega’s newest 8500 movement up for trade for a vintage Connie. This watch was purchased about a month ago and is in like new condition with the exception of a minor scuff to the bezel and some slight scuffmarks to the bottom of the bracelet. (I have not had a chance to take pics yet but will do so shortly). I would rate it conservatively at 94% or better. It was purchased from a US AD and comes with all boxes and papers, tags, stickers, etc. It is keeping exceptional time – likely the best I have ever seen – quartz-like. The dial is a work of art and with raised hour markers and blue lume. The bracelet is the nicest yet on an Omega with solid screwed links and superb craftsmanship. As some have said “At last a real alternative to a Datejust, easily as well finished and put together with a lovely in-house movement and contemporary size.”

What I am looking for: A vintage Connie that is in exceptional condition and can be used as a daily wearer – i.e., has been recently professionally serviced and has fresh seals and is keeping good time. Prefer an unmolested original dial but a professional restored dial of known provenance may work also. I do not have a preference for gold or steel model – we can work anything from a straight trade or a cash/trade combo depending on the Connie. I have a preference for a pie pans but that is not a must. A 564 would be a first choice. Also an option may be
a 60's "C" cased Connie with the 751 movement.

I have extensive watch references on all the well-known boards and am more than happy to send multiple references upon request and ask that you have the same positive reputation.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing some interesting trade offers!

comment Please note - the only other watch I would consider working a trade on would be an Explorer I. Thanks.
