Description

The watch is in excellent condition. The original box and papers are not included. However, there is a very nice box with timepiece pillow included, as well as laminated cards guaranteeing the watch's authenticity. I have already taken the watch to the Omega boutique at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles where the helpful staff fully verified the authenticity of the watch. Keep in mind, this is the Omega Seamaster with co-axial escapement and wavy-patterned dial. The watch is in great condition and runs absolutely flawlessly. Any links that have been removed from the bracelet are also included. Please feel free to IM me with any questions you may have. Thanks, Scott (elliot55)

This particular reference combines the series' core diving specifications with a blue dial execution in stainless steel construction. The watch features a stainless steel case paired with a sapphire crystal offering anti-reflective treatment, domed profile, and scratch-resistant properties. Water resistance extends to 300 meters. The automatic movement incorporates Co-axial technology with C.O.S.C. chronometer certification. Complications include hours, minutes, seconds, and date functions displayed on the blue dial. Not quite as rare as the "Golden Seamaster" Desmond wrote about, but in the ballpark and especially in Rose Gold:

Old man and the sea part 2 - trying to sort my son’s fishing equipment 🎣
Fishing in the East provided a successful, efficient experience where the son caught tons of fish quickly. Trying Mediterranean fishing was less successful, resulting in no catch. The Omega Seamaster 1948 watch remained unaffected.

My Grandfather's Watch
Vintage watch in need of repair left with local expert after failed service attempt by father, now deceased. Trust restored authenticity to be sourced, but other parts may not be restored. Watchmaker taking time. Two other watches out for service.

Dials for the Melbourne Olympic Seamaster ref OT 2850
Variants of SM Olympic dials include rare XVI dial with pearl dots in yellow gold, most have a brass plate. Some dials may have rings with uniquely colored areas; accuracy debatable.
