Hi folks,
Clearing out all my Omegas, making way for a grail... this is the last wave of fire sales...
This is a watch that needs no introduction I believe.
The case looks very well maintain, very likely to have a really light polished and no more than that. Many gold-capped models have issue with the gold capped being worn off, etc, but not with this one. The gold capped looks very thick still and not showing any sign of wear. The engraving at the back of the case is still visible. Also the caseback inscription "CONSTELLATION" & "WATERPROOF" is evident, though faint like most in the similiar age. The observatory logo is still looking great with details that have not been polished away like many.
The beautiful desirable (with cross hair) dial with large diamond shaped markers looks overall clean with some aged patina. The crystal is worth mentioning that it is original, with the Omega logo floating at the center. Those familiar with the "MOY" dial test will attest that the dial is 100% original and NOT refinished. Hands are not perfect, but overall clean, with the second hand showing some aged marks. Movement looks really clean and I do not know the service history but I just have the movement checked this morning by a watchmaker and run great on his machine. Serial number is 16,xxx,xxx which is made in around 1958. A great example for a daily wearer or simply form part of your "white elephants".
Here is the actual picture of the watch:
First person to offer USD 1,400 takes the watch. Wire payment appreciated.
Solid trade references for nearly a decade will be provided upon request. In doubt, do a google on my email address. I have been around.
