Description

REDUCED TO £500!!!

Omega Constellation F8192hz Electroquartz. this is a rare watch dates from the late 1960's and has the famous CEH developed Beta 21 movement in it. this movement cost a fortune to develop in the early 1970's in conjunction with Omega, Rolex and others. it was also used in the first 1000 Rolex Oysterquartz watches. it was the most advanced quartz movement of its day and is recognisable by the fact that it hums like a tuning fork. the watch has a lovely wedge shape typical of advanced design of the era. the crown is on the left, the dial is a lovely deep blue with date at 6 oclock. the hour, minute and true sweep second hands are white and in perfect condition.
i would rate the watch as 85-90% as it is truly mint condition with totally unmarked case, dial and genuine Omega, but non original bracelet.

this is a real investment piece which can only go up in value!!

i dont wear it very often so i'm letting it go to fund some more toys.

Graham

Do you have a watch from the year you were born?
Watches made before the year 2000 may not accurately reflect the year they were assembled due to lack of focus by manufacturers. Experts suggest that the production year can be off by 1 or 2 years. Owning a watch made in the same year as a grandchild is cherished. Passing it on is a plan.

Chipyu, off the top of...
Chipyu,

off the top of my head i cant remember , but it is
a standard 1.5v battery of which i probably have 100's. even the early accutrons
are now running on standard 1.5v instead of the original 1.35v mercury
battery.

i'll take the back off and get back to
you.

chipyu,

its currently running on an LR44 which is a
standard 1.5v battery still easily available. if you are interested i can
include a couple of spares as i have a large quantity of batteries left over
from when i used to sell cheapo quartz watches.

regards
