This is very fine example of an Omega Constellation chronometer, dating from 1964 and in excellent clean condition. It features a mint original silvered dial with quickset date function, original Omega lens, very clean steel screwback case with original signed crown, Omega 24 jewel automatic chronometer movement [Cal 564] and comes complete with a new quality leather strap an Omega vintage steel buckle, which adds significantly to the value. The back closes correctly and the inside is signed 'Omega Watch Co', 'Fab Suisse Swiss Made', 'Stainless Steel', 'SF' and model reference '168.018'. The outside back of the case carries the famous Constellation emblem, which is nice and crisp. Dial The original, unrestored silvered dial is in mint clean condition - just stunning. It features a quickset date function, applied steel batons and Omega insignia. It is signed 'Omega', 'Automatic Chronometer Officially Certified', 'Constellation' and 'Swiss made'. The original steel hands, including centre-seconds hand, are in excellent unbent condition and the original lens is very clear. Movement The automatic 24 jewel chronometer movement [Cal 564] is in very good condition (brighter than photographed) and is signed 'Omega Watch Co', 'Swiss', 'Adjusted five (5) positions and temperature', 'Twenty four 24 Jewels', '564' and the '21761077' movement reference number. The movement has just been oiled by a professional watchmaker and is in excellent working order. Strap/Buckle This beautiful watch is on a new quality leather strap, attached to which is a gleaming steel Omega buckle. The watch comes complete with a new non-Omega quality watch box for safekeeping. A superb vintage watch from one of watch history's most famous names.
