This is the rare 3065 Model reference 166.092 that is mentioned at the bottom of Steve Waddington's excellent summary of Omega Pilot Line watches. The very unusual dial is a silver/grey metal with amazing etched crosshatching and a distinctive yellow internal minute track.
The dial is absolutely original and unrestored in excellent condition as are the original black and yellow stick hands and raised baton hour markers. A date window is positioned at 3 o'clock. The case is large and a very unusual shape for a Seamaster, being slightly oval at 42mm wide (excluding the crown) by 40mm high.

The signed 20J calibre 1002 is a famous and exceptional movement with quick set date and hacking seconds. The movement is in excellent condition and is keeping excellent time. The case is unpolished with the distinctive sharp edges along with the traditional Seamaster Seahorse logo in heavy raised relief on the original screwed case back. The internal antimagnetic/dust cover and is signed with reference 166.092.

I got it from one of the most well known Heuer moderators. The watch came with a scratched crystal, but the scratches are hard to see. Nonetheless I am including a new Otto Frei crystal. This new crystal is original Omega and correct for the watch and you can swap it in. The yellow minute track ring is flaking a bit at one ridge but is amazingly original yellow, not faded at all. The dial is spotless, as are the hands. The case could use a very light rebrushing by a sensitive craftsman to make sure the brushing is all in the right direction and is even. The timing is excellent and the movement is beautiful. Overall I rate this rare and unusual Seamaster at TZ 90%.
