Panerai 147 Special Edition, 2002, #30 of 35

FS: This 2002 Special Edition is a remarkable and very rare watch - number 30 of 35 watches in total. If you are a real Panerai collector you know this watch: it is a "grail" watch for the discerning Panerai collector. It is 42mm rose gold, and recently (2014) fully restored by Panerai in Europe at a cost of over $4000. It is powered by a Venus 185, one of the great vintage rattrapante movements - fully upgraded to high horology standards by Panerai. It has ALL original paperwork, certificates, boxes, and tags. It was sold in 2005 originally, and is in like new condition with a fully serviced movement, new dial and hands, and restored movement with several new parts. It has the original black alligator strap (80% condition) and the rose gold Panerai deployment buckle. I prefer a face-to-face deal in the Los Angeles area, if at all possible. The price for this VERY rare high-grade rattrapante is $40,000 - firm. It was insured by Panerai for $80,000 when shipped back to me. The only known public sale of one of these that I could find was a $42,000 sale at Antiquorum.
