The 5218-205/A (black dial) Slytech Submersibles were made in 1995, 95 were made. Of these, 38 were given to Vendome and sold by them. These were all made after the varnish problem that caused some pre-V watches to be "non-matching" was corrected, so all 205/A dials are matching. My research shows that this particular watch was in the batch sold to the Vendome Group (Richemont, Cartier).
Many of the pre-V Slytechs came with large burled wood boxes which had a key, a model ship or submarine, and a hardcover historical book. Some of the Slytechs of both black & white dial variety came with the small pre-V box typical of the 201/A logo watches. This watch includes the small pre-V wooden box (90%). Box does not have the usual metal clip to hold booklets inside lid; this is confirmed by several experts to be a variant or replacement of the pre-V box by the original manufacturer.
