📖 About This Reference

The PAM286 represents Panerai's rattrapante regatta complication within the Luminor 1950 series. This reference combines the split-seconds chronograph function with regatta timing capabilities, positioning it as a specialized sports timing instrument in the brand's collection. The watch features a 44mm steel case paired with a black dial. The case construction follows the Luminor 1950 design language, while the dial layout accommodates the rattrapante chronograph displays and regatta timing functions specific to this reference. This reference appeals to collectors seeking Panerai's more complex complications, particularly those interested in sailing-oriented timepieces. The PAM286 occupies a specialized position within the Luminor 1950 range, distinguished by its dual chronograph hand configuration and regatta timing capability. The steel case construction and 44mm sizing align with the series' standard proportions while housing the more intricate movement architecture required for the rattrapante function.

My First PAM
Hello Everyone, I am very new here. I've been lurking around here and other forums for a while trying to learn as much as I can. I have to say that starting out looking at watches I was attracted towards Brietlings more than anything, but somehow I came across a Panerai and it was love at first sigh

New shoes for an old friend. Tried this instead of OEM brown croco with ecru stitch.
Whaddya think? The stitching is a dark blue to match slightly the color of the regatta hands. Thanks for looking. Enjoy your Sunday everyone! Regards, Eddy

Group Opinion on Pan 212
Hi Guys, New to Panerai, but been eying the Pan 212 for a while. Would like everyone's opinion on the matter. Some say that the 3xx series are better (8 days, 10 days) for value bc of in house movements, and that the 212/213 are not very sophisticated technologically. Let me know your thoughts! Eric

HI, I am new to this forum and am considering to purchase either PAM246 or PAM286 (you would appreciate that both watches are limited edition). I can't make up my mind because both watches are so beautiful. Can someone here shed me some light or thought? Thanks and regards, Eric
