    📖 About This Reference

The PAM052 represents Panerai's approach to chronograph complications within the Luminor Chrono series, offering timing functionality in a more compact 40mm case format. This reference distinguishes itself from larger Panerai offerings through its reduced proportions while maintaining the brand's characteristic case architecture. The brushed titanium case measures 40mm in diameter and incorporates a polished steel bezel for material contrast. Water resistance extends to 200 meters, with a substantial 3.5mm sapphire crystal providing dial protection. The watch operates on Panerai's Calibre OP IV movement, delivering chronograph functionality to the Luminor platform. This reference appeals to collectors seeking Panerai's design language in a more wearable size profile, with the titanium construction reducing overall weight compared to steel alternatives. The PAM052 occupies a specific position within the Luminor Chrono range for those prioritizing case dimensions and material selection over larger traditional offerings.

Just for the pleasure of sharing my last Panerai catch.

I had missed the opportunity of buying this watch last year and being a Limited Edition of just 250 watches I was told the edition was wholly sold and impossible to get through the Boutiques. Anyway I was lucky to find a c

Wish I held on to this PAM. The tantalum color was gorgeous. Despite this wonderful case material, the watch was not as heavy as advertised. Like with almost all PAMs, I would prefer a solid caseback. But it was a very cool release at the time, and no doubt got a few hearts pumping.

A blast from the Past: Panerai Pre Vendome 5218-203/A.
It was not my favorite Pre Vendome piece, but it didn't lack charm with its greyish black PVD case and this creamy patina of the indices. Credit picture: Antiquorum. Enjoy, Nicolas
