Description

Dear fellow pam lovers,

For my grail watch, there must be sacrifices made, and I have decided to sell my Pam 005 PVD which I love so much.

Yes, this looks almost identical to the Pam 195, but as I really like the Pam 195 and couldn't justify (nor afford) the dough, I bought this from a reputable forum member earlier this year.

Overall, watch looks almost like brand new until you scrutinise, there are a couple of marks on the watch, most noticeable the nick on the back of the bezel at 12, and the inside of the top of the crown guard and one of the back of the lug.
This lead PVD does not only looks good (I really prefer this pencil lead color versus the pure black PVD) but also resist scratches very well. I also like the fact that it is almost smear resistant and always cold to the touch. Very tool watch, thats the idea. I heard that the PVD process cost more than USD 600 alone and the process time is almost up to 6 months. smile

Watch runs very well and it includes everything you see in the pictures, notably, an used beautiful tan color super horny back (from the guy we love), and a gunny strap. (both still smell good without odour and plenty of life left) Also included is an aftermarket PVD buckle to match the watch.
The package also comes with all papers documentation, and 2 original OEM unworn straps with hang tags...

Basically, this is a full package, with goodies other than the 3rd packaging box. Overall watch condition, I would rate it at 95%.

Here's the watch:

This reference maintains the fundamental characteristics of the Marina line while offering collectors a specific dial variant within the 44mm case format. The fuss on 360 BBQ
I know the 360 is a "special" edition but is it really that special? I noticed the price has multiplied in the 2nd hand market like 4 times the retail price. Thoughts? cheers PAt

Panerai's New Entry Level Watches
Panerai's entry level watches in the (Bettarini) Luminor cases (PAM 1000, 1005, 630, 660, 632, 631) are about the same price of the watches they replaced (PAM 000 and PAM 005) but have some "downgraded" case features. First, the bezel and mid-case of these new models are one piece Second, the case b

What are your thoughts on these two Panerai
Doesn't get many remarks or comments on these two Panerai? I wonder if its the use of snap in caseback and spring strap bar, a turn away from the traditional or what else?? The 15th Anniversary Paneristi.com , one time limited to 500 pieces, yet seemed to me not many are craving for this piece,

Which PAM to start with?
Hi, I cannot make up my mind. I love the more clean/simple dial models in general. At the moment I have narrowed my favourites down to: the newer look 44mm PAM 560, more vintage looking 44mm PAM 590 or go for the 47mm 422? Also like the 372 (which I am sure has a lot of admirers), but somehow can se

Walking into HK Prince's Building Panerai Boutique late Saturday afternoon and was immediately shown the two latest Panerai that didn't appeared during Watches & Wonders last month, both entry level Pam 630 with a white dial just like the now discontinued Pam 114 with a blue OP logo and the Pam

Recommendations for first Panerai?
I'm contemplating acquisition of a Panerai and would like any recommendations on the pro/con of either the PAM 005 or 111 as a first purchase. I've seen several out there for sale from other collectors, but do not know enough about the different variations of these basic models. Does the series of e
