Discontinued and highly collectable.

This watch is now discontinued and has been replaced by the PAM243 1950 1000m submersible. What makes this watch so special is that it is significantly fatter, heavier and more massive than any other 44mm Panerai. Some peopel refer to this watch as the original "La Bamba" while others call it "the tuna can." It features a passive helium release valve on the side of the case just like on a Rolex Sea Dweller, except the Seadweller is only about 10% thicker and heavier than the Submariner whereas the 1000m Sub PAM87 is about 25% thicker than its younger cousin, the 300m Submersible PAM24. This watch is massive, hefty, fat, bulky and will see its fair share of banged door handles (ouch) but isnt that what wearing a heavy duty sports watch is all about!!!
