📖 About This Reference

The PAM00215 represents Panerai's entry into chronograph complications within the Luminor Chrono series. This reference combines the brand's signature Luminor case architecture with timing functionality, positioning it as a sports-oriented tool watch within the collection. The watch features a 40mm steel case paired with a black dial. The case size makes this reference more accessible compared to Panerai's typically larger offerings, while the steel construction provides durability for everyday wear. The black dial creates strong contrast for legibility. This reference appeals to collectors seeking Panerai's distinctive aesthetic in a more compact format with chronograph capability. The 40mm case dimension broadens the watch's appeal beyond traditional Panerai enthusiasts who prefer oversized timepieces. The PAM215 offers an alternative entry point into the brand's chronograph lineup for those prioritizing wearability alongside functional complications.

Some Mare Nostrum pictures and thoughts.
Sergio and myself are disagreeing on the Mare Nostrum. I am a big fan of this model, while Sergio doesn't like it. I think that the Mare Nostrum is a superb alternative / interesting option to or for a Panerai collection. The original was a prototype, made in 1942, housing an Angelus movement ( Cal

The return of a Myth: The Mare Nostrum.
Announced a few years ago, eagerly awaited every year, it finally landed. Why is it a Myth? The Mare Nostrum, I mean the original one, was a Prototype conceived for the Italian Deck Officers in 1943, but as the Story says, it was never produced. So, this watch is a kind of Loch Ness Monster, a phant
