Parmigiani Kalpa Grande Steel

A great all-around piece -- the Parmigiani Kalpa Grande in SS. I purchased this watch new from the AD in 2006, and it has been worn since in rotation with many other watches. Conservatively rated as "very good" -- I think that on the PuristS rating scale most might rate it "mint," but I am accounting for the light swirls on the bracelet consistent with careful wear. PF 333.01 movement with the solid gold guilloche rotor -- not the steel rotor of more recent versions, and it's very pretty to see. 28,800 vph, 32 jewels, 55 hour power reserve -- and very nicely finished, as well. This watch will come with both the Hermes croc strap on Parmigiani deployant and the SS bracelet (which has to be worn to be believed -- like mercury draping around the wrist). The bracelet is currently polished, but I am advised by the AD that the links can be refinished in a brushed surface (see the Parmigiani website for examples of the bracelet with center links brushed) if you prefer a more subtle look. Strap and bracelet are easily interchanged -- on the bracelet, it's a great summer/weekend watch, and on the strap it's dressed up for business. Thin case (9.25mm) in a size (34 x 40 mm, not counting the lugs) that is (to me) just right for today's standards. The lugs have a beautiful curve that really make this watch sit cleanly on the wrist. Black dial with barleycorn guilloche and javelin hands -- and lume on the hands and hour markers. All boxes and papers included.
