Description

Ref. PF000471 is a second generation perpetual calendar dating from 2003. This was at the tail end of Parmigiani Fleurier's spectacular emergence as a watchmaker of distinction. It bears all of the hallmarks that set those early watches apart, not least the opulent, two-tiered knurled bezel and javelin hands (the first generation PC was 42mm in diameter, while the third generation successor included just one tier of knurling).

The watch is architectural in its construction, symmetrically balanced, and playful in its detail. It is a masterful work of classicism from a generation of PF watches that were as distinct as any watch on the market at the time.

The watch comes fitted on a dark brown alligator strap from ABP Concept Paris and comes with its original buckle. The original, signed PF strap is also included. Both are pictured and in excellent condition. Its immediate previous owner is a well-known and highly-regarded member of WPS.
