Description

The Patek Philippe reference 5396G was first produced in 2006 as the latest of Patek’s annual calendar wristwatches, with this example purchased in Japan on the 25th October 2008. Invented by Patek Philippe in 1996, the annual calendar complication was created when they realised the discrepancy between ordinary calendar watches that had to be set every month, and perpetual calendars which were extremely complicated. Composed of 356 parts, their annual calendar is by no means a simple watch, yet it is an incredibly user-friendly timepiece that can be worn everyday.

This Patek Philippe ref. 5396G is in excellent condition and has perfect mechanical functionality. It is a complete set, accompanied by the original box, certificate of origin, literature, leather folder and 18K white-gold stylus. The watch comes on an original brown, alligator strap and corresponding white-gold deployant buckle.

Viewings can be arranged in Central London by appointment.

My first Patek: the underrated 5134G Travel Time.
Considered multiple watches before finding Patek 5134G, a neo-vintage gem with unique design. Hybrid dress and sports watch, manageable proportions, distinctive dial, easy travel operation. Minor downsides, but great value and appeal.
