Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5066

This is the first “Aquanaut” launched by Patek Philippe in 1998. The Aquanaut Ref. 5066/A was specifically designed to appeal to a younger sport clientele. It combines dynamic design with a touch of casual elegance and has this Geneva’s last independent watchmaker, Patek Philippe’s traditional qualities – superb craftsmanship and absolute reliability. Powered by Patek Philippe’s Cal. 330SC, a 30 jewels self-winding new mechanical movement with a 21ct. gold rotor and Patek Philippe’s patented Gyromax balance wheel which are all visible through a transparent case back. The textured black dial echoes the finish of the water-resistant “Tropical” strap. In my humble opinion, this earliest series of Aquanaut i.e. 5060, 5065, 5066, etc. are the nicest when compared to the later larger versions, which appear to be too big and do not fit nicely with the design. Watch comes with boxes, certificate and Patek Philippe servicing paper. My price is US$10,000.
