My first Patek: the underrated 5134G Travel Time.
Considered multiple watches before finding Patek 5134G, a neo-vintage gem with unique design. Hybrid dress and sports watch, manageable proportions, distinctive dial, easy travel operation. Minor downsides, but great value and appeal.

Patek 3700 Crystal - Bezel gap question
Just acquired a vintage Patek Philippe 3700/1a (1977) with a polished finish. Slight gap on crystal noted, wondering if it's normal. Overall happy with the purchase. Videos uploaded for clarity.

Hi Coreamer,   I have...
Hi Coreamer,

I have noticed your posts from time to time so I recognize you as a contributor to the Purist forums and to the Collector Marketplace.  I just purchased a 5971 that I had no idea would be offered to me so that has drained most of my "watch purchase" budget for the time being.  However, if the right opportunity presented itself, I still would be interested in purchasing a 5970 G.  I had hoped to be able to purchase a 5970G for 115 K or a little bit higher, but this might not be a realistic price for you.

I do have a 5960 P as well as a 5098 P that I can offer in trade if either/both of those are of any interest to you.  The 5906 P is still sealed in the bag, but the box seal was  broken by the AD.  The 5098 P was delivered to me with the box and the bag cut open by the AD, but I have not worn this watch.

Your price quote is not unreasonable, but it is more than I am comfortable paying at this time.  If you can offer the watch at a more affordable price or if you can accept either or both of my watches in trade, then perhaps we could work something out.

Thank you for offering this watch to me!

Joe

comment Thank you for your response. I already own both a 5960 and 5098. If I decide to lower my price, I will let you know. Do you have any interest in a 5140G sealed in its original plastic ? Let me know, thanks
