Description

The 5711J is a much rarer example of the 5711, most commonly seen with a steel bracelet.  The 5711J was only produced for a couple years in small quantities, whereas the 5711/1A model is produced around 1000 times per annum.  There are probably less than 1000 5711J timepieces in the world, where there are likely around 20,000 5711/1A timepieces (and that number is growing) in the world.

Perhaps my favorite aspect of the 5711J is how the white date disc works so well with the silvery white dial.  Or the artfully crafted deployment buckle.  There's a lot to like about this timepiece!

Condition:  Watch is in excellent condition, very gently worn and seldom worn, part of a multiple watch rotation.  Watch has never been polished.  No case damage, never dropped, watch runs well, accuracy seems good but the watch hasn't been worn for more than a day at a time.  The power reserve length has not been recently tested.  The watch has never been serviced.  Sapphire crystal has no chips nor scratches and is in excellent condition.  The all-important Nautilus bezel is in excellent condition and shows the watch was never polished.  Strap and clasp are in good condition with the strap showing light wear (safety of the watch is not compromised).

Provenance: Timepiece was purchased at an authorized dealer.  Watch comes with the original box and papers; papers are named and dated.

📖 About This Reference

The Patek Philippe reference 5711/1A-011, part of the Complications collection, is distinguished by its white dial, offering a different aesthetic compared to other dial variations within the 5711 series. This particular configuration provides a clean and legible presentation, appealing to collectors who prefer a more understated yet refined look. It represents a specific iteration of a well-known Patek Philippe model, recognized for its integrated design. The watch features a 40mm stainless steel case, housing the self-winding Caliber 26-330 SC movement. This movement provides a power reserve of 45 hours. The case is fitted with a sapphire crystal, contributing to its water resistance of 120 meters. The fixed bezel and integrated bracelet are characteristic elements of its construction. This reference appeals to collectors interested in the evolution of Patek Philippe's offerings, particularly those seeking specific dial colors within established model lines. Its production run from 2019 to 2021 marks it as a relatively recent, yet now discontinued, variant. The watch's specifications align with Patek Philippe's standards for mechanical timepieces.

I was quite surprised when Patek included these 50th Anniversary Nautilus watches as part of its 2026 W&W presentation. I think this was a mistake and a lost opportunity.

A beginner's impressions of the Nautilus
Emmanuel's first impressions of the Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711 focus on its slimness, smooth aesthetic, and ideal proportions. While recognizing its legendary status, he personally prefers other watches, finding the 5711 not as exciting.

The controversial Patek Cubitus 5821/1A - yea or nay? When this watch came out there was much I appreciated about it - non-round case, dial color, something different

No idea why a collector hasn't already bought this piece? Thought it is rare. Best, Robert

It's very rare. There have never been more than 7 or 8 available on Chrono24 at any point in time over the past 5 years. [nt] No message body

I have the same and it was fully serviced without any polishing. Would you be able to facilitate a trade against a 5711A silver dial? [nt] No message body

Although I don't want/need this watch I don't understand why (1) it is not priced much higher, and (2) why there's barely any interest in it, and (3) why it is still listed as available. I would have thought someone would have gladly paid full price and made this rare J Nautilus an important piece in their collection. Again, I'm not interested in buying it but that's because I have no money. But come on guys, this is a yellow gold 5711! What's going on here?
