Reference Number: G43 1447 0 37.56 Model: Golden Square Run Number: 13 out of 28 Here we are pleased to be able to offer this beautifully finished and rather cleverly designed dual timezone watch from the design desk of Carlos Diaz back at the end of 2005. Diaz was responsible for the design of the watches emanating from the Dubuis manufactory up until his departure from the company prior to Richemont acquiring the controlling stake in the spring of 2008. The Golden Square is the 5th model to come out of the Dubuis workshops in Geneva, and this dial version was made in only 28 pieces in WG. The Second timezone GMT hour dial is operated by pushing the co-axial pusher in the winding and setting crown. Each push advances the second timezone hour by one hour. Lovely blued steel hands are set off by the silvered dial which sports those great elongated romans for the local hour dial at 9 o'clock and the familiar Dubuis arabics for the GMT hour dial at 3 o'clock. The massive 43mm 18K WG cased with the curved square crystal is quite an imposing piece on the wrist. This model is one of the first to use the inhouse selfwinding RD Cal 14 as the base. Like a couple of other rather famous old Geneva watch houses, Roger Dubuis watches sport an individual case serial number and a movement number together with a model number. A Geneva Seal was also received by this RD movement #983. These are all archived in Geneva. I sold this watch new at the end of November in 2005. Since then it resided with the original owner until now. It has received a very light refinish and has original strap and 18k WG deployant buckle.It comes with all original boxes and papers, Chronometer certificate from the Besançon Observatory. The watch movement is RD 14 mechanical automatic, 33 jewels, 28 800 A/h. The watch includes the box and papers. Original Selling Price: $36,900.
