Hi folks,
On sale today is a vintage Submariner from 1978, equipped with a very nice and uncommon Pre-Comex (or flat coronet) dial.
For more information on Pre-Comex dial, please visit these 2 wonderful sites:

Overall excellent condition, unknown last service date but keeps absolutely great time.
Dial is overall in great condition with no scratches or whatsoever, but some very slight flaking of tritium at 6 but not noticeable when worn. Tritium color matches hands, in a nice eggshell cream color. I personally find the flat coronet the most beautiful variant, and reminds me of the military Subs (and of course, the Comex)
Bezel is the MKII Fat Font bezel with some fading overall. Correct and I believe came originally with the watch.
Overall case is good, polished, but lugs are still fat. The chamfered edges are barely there. Case serial number is 5.4 million, which dates it to 1978, probably the few years that the Pre-Comex dial is used.
Crystal looks like super dome to me and can use a good polish.
Comes with nato and no bracelet.
