This vintage, 18-carat yellow-gold Rolex GMT-Master (ref. 1675), from the early 1970s represents a distinct class of traveller's watch. The reference '1675' debuted in 1959, following the success of the original GMT, the reference 6542. Remarkably, the reference '1675' GMT-Master was produced for 20 consecutive years, making it one of the longest manufacturing runs in Rolex's history.

This rare, 1675 GMT was purchased on the 5th of August, 1972, from Chronometrie Beyer, Zurich. The watch comes with its original guarantee booklet (stamped by Beyer) and punched Chronometer Certificate, from Rolex. The watch is also accompanied by its original purchase receipt from Chronometrie Beyer (matching the date on the original guarantee), original inner and outer boxes and Rolex passport booklet.

The case of this Rolex GMT-Master (ref. 1675) Concorde is preserved in excellent vintage condition, with strongly-defined bevels. It’s shows all the signs of an unpolished case, retaining its original shape entirely, with exceptionally-light wear throughout. On the reverse, the milling on the case-back is perfectly preserved, with small marks/grazes visible throughout. The case is original to the watch, with appropriately corresponding serial numbers, consistent with the year of manufacture (and original paperwork). The case-back further exhibits seemingly untouched, original hallmarks on the reverse of the lugs, with a stock number (matching the original sales receipt) inscribed above.

The inner-case-back also correctly displays the watch’s reference number (1675), hallmarks and classic Rolex signature - with no visible servicing marks. The applied hour markers are (original) tritium, matching the handset. Response under UV light shows appropriately matching luminosity, reacting consistently with documented, original examples.
