CanadaI’m regrettably parting with my grail watch – a Patent Pending Rolex Double Red Sea-Dweller.
The watch by itself is simply stunning; perfect dial, perfect matching hands, beautiful case and very rare BUT to get this entire complete package is a **once in a life time opportunity**.
As for the pictures, please note, any imperfections are dust. This watch is honestly flawless
Mint. The dial has an amazingly uniform ever-so-slightly eggshell patina which matches the original hands. There are absolutely NO imperfections in the dial, hands or markers. Case lugs are super-thick. Engraving in caseback is deep. Bevels are sharp. Bezel insert and bracelet were replaced on service but the original bracelet (“patent pending”) and endlinks are present.

This is a ONE owner watch, where every single piece of documentation attests to this, with said owner's full name and address consistent. He even included a full page letter (not pictured to respect the privacy of the owner) documenting the history of this watch, what prompted him to buy it, etc. Really a lovely story!
The watch was only serviced by Rolex, in 1977, 1997 and 2009 (still under factory warranty!). Service docs indeed document the Double Red dial. Punched papers and punched warranty booklet with correct 2.2 million serial corresponding to more rare Mk. II dial. Original booklets (also extremely rare), and box set pictured as well.
Sorry if it seems like I'm bragging or something. It's just a very exciting and historic piece for a watch-dork like me, as I'm sure you can understand
