Up for sale is my beloved Peter Speake-Marin Original Piccadilly in White Gold, and Rose Gold Engraved Dial.
This watch needs no introduction as it is Peter's iconic model - the original Piccadilly. My variant is in white gold, including a new-style (screwless) white gold pin buckle, and the dial is rose gold in roman numerals, and hand engraved by master engraver Kees Engelbarts. The hand engraved dial variant is the most expensive variant of the Piccadilly and is extremely rare in the secondary market. This is one of Peter's first Piccadilly watches, and the serial number is No. 1. The watch was originally sold in 2004, and have recently gone through a full service back at the manufacture in December 2013 (service cost CHF 2354)<.B>.
The screws are new, however, the bottom right screw is a bit damaged due to me changing straps and also that bottom left lug have a small ding in the corner (please see one of the very close-up photos).
I have included 2 spare brand new gold screws for replacement however I do not want to mess with the screws again. I recommend any screw change to be done by a master watchmaker or it would be easily damaged due to the small size of the screw.
Also included is the original steel pin buckle in the old-style (with screws on the side), and a rose gold crown. So the new owner have the option of fitting the rose gold crown to the watch (the watch originally came with rose gold crown, and PSM fitted a white gold crown during service by mistake and have provided me the rose gold crown as a spare option). The strap currently on the watch are brand new (never worn) as I've ordered the strap with the service, and have never worn the watch since it came back. The original set of straps are also included so you will have 2 pairs of straps.
All boxes (wooden box and cardboard outer box) and papers (certificate of authenticity, service quote, service receipt etc) are included. Kees Engelbarts and Peter Speake-Marin signed on the inside of the watch box!
This watch is a bargain at US 16,500 for a white gold PSM including worldwide shipping and PSM don't make engraved dial Piccadilly in their new range (except for custom order pieces). Reasonable offers can be considered.
It is an extremely beautiful and distinctive watch, while photos do not do it justice, here's a taste of what it's like. The last picture shows a close up of the engraving (but crown is in rose gold, before sending off to service).
