Ulysse Nardin Chronograph, moon-phase, date

When Rolf Schnyder tool over the UN brand in 1983, he returned the brand to high-end mechanical watchmaking along with the other pioneers who never gave up on mechanical watchmaking during the quartz crisis (Jean-Claude Biver, Gerd Lang, etc.).

This watch is part of what he created.  The case is 39.5mm, 18 k gold (yellow with just a blush of rose).  Sapphire crystals front and back. It has the UN version of the Lemania 2310 movement - with the addition of a moon phase and date-ring at the "12" position.  This legendary movement has been used by Patek, Vacheron, Breguet, and is (of course) the base movement for the iconic Omega Speedmaster 321. In short one of the very best chronograph movements ever made.  This version is of the highest finish, including a swan-neck regulator. 

It has been recently serviced. I have the original warranty card (undated), box, and leather owners pamphlet (pics available if needed)

Bottom line:  this is a high-grade piece from a legendary brand that is - let's be honest - not strong in the resale market.  The price reflects that.  However if you want the VERY best quality and understand real value....this watch is for you.  It's hard to touch anything with this movement (finished at this level) for under $20k.
