Very fine and rare, rectangular, flared, 18K yellow gold timepiece with a yellow gold 18ct Vacheron Constantin buckle. Includes the Certificate of Authenticity (bound booklet, slipcase) from Vacheron Constantin. The certificate alone is worth $1500 and adds significant value to the watch.

Case: Two-body, solid, polished central overhanging elements, rounded lugs, "bombe" crystal

Dial: Two-toned silver quarters with applied yellow gold dart indexes and Roman XII, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Yellow gold "baton" hands.

Movement: Cal. 435/3C, tonneau, rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, beryllium balance with timing screws, adjusted to temperatures, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring.

Dial, case and movement signed. Includes a quality watch box for safekeeping.

Strap/buckle: Gently used Vacheron brown crocodile strap, attached to a genuine Vacheron 18ct yellow gold buckle.

This watch was purchased by a well known international Vacheron collector at Antiquorum's "Quarter Millenium of Vacheron Constantin" auction, held in Geneva in 2005. The watch was one of just 250 vintage Vacheron watches chosen by Antiquorum and Vacheron out of thousands for this prestigious auction. A copy of the auction catalog will be included which will include a personal note inside from the previous owner. The catalog alone is worth a few hundred $$ which adds value to this watch.
