The 1815 chronograph was first introduced in 2004 but stayed only three years in the Lange & Söhne catalog. This watch occupied a special place in the collection and was distinguished by its pulsometric scale, inclined flange and its staggered sub-dia...  

.... And the wait was definitely worth it! I am in full agreement that the boutique edition is the perfect blend of the original and the remake. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will launch this combination in a regular edition.

The date made the perfect triangle with the 2 subdials. I would have loved to see a 1815 Chrono with the 2 Subdials on a 3 / 9 line. Not under. If the subdials were " aligned ", in that case, the date would not miss. The distance with the Datograph would ... 

I like this one as I am used to this look in Lange, lower sub dials, as the Emil reflects that look as well. I really like the blue use here. I don\'t disagree the date on a datograph makes that perfect triangle. That is why I would never not own a datogr... 

- first of all, due to a better balance, the off-centered position is less perceptible here than with the first version. - the 2 subdials on a 3/9 line would oblige to fully redesign a movement and it would be a different story... As an owner of the first... 

I love that the hour and minute hands have not been blued. It adds an extra level of contrast, over and above the blue markings against a sliver (which looks white) dial. I wouldn't think this would be outweighed by slightly less visibility-and anyway, it... 

Hands a la VC which show a dark and light surface would be certainly also an option for better legibility but I feel this design of hands is very calm, without any sharp breach in appearance of the overall watch. Best Moritz

Those hands are much more visible in dark than blues hands

But don't forget that all cats are grey in the dark! Fx

I really love this version/model.. and totally agree with the Pros and Cons highlighted. I would still choose this even if the dial prints are black instead of blue. Cheers !

I was wondering if the blue printings were looking good but they seem so. I'm also gald this edition comes back in the catalogue. I like the current normal version but it is much more sober and I must say that this one is more exciting to me. Great move i...

For my own commentary on this, I actually prefer this over the Dato. Despite the missing date, I feel it is balanced by the "flyback chronograph" font. (Although, almost all promotional pictures of this watch shows the hands at 10:10 or 2:50 which balance... 

I loved this watch. Does it wear larger than your 5205?

THe 5205 looks smaller than what it is actually due to the case shape. Looks more a 38mm watch. And this one, really looks like a 40mm watch. Thanks. Fx

I love this incarnation. IMHO, Lange has been a bit heavy handed with this whole blued hands thing. I'm fine with seconds hands or chronograph sub-hands in blued steel, but I don't find thick blued hour and minute hands elegant in the least. Excellent leg... 

I can understand your point, it is the reason why I don't like blued hands on the Saxonia Annual Calendar. Matter of taste. Fx

... where it almost had me yield with a Rose Gold model, which was also a very beautiful piece in its own right, but alas I resisted! ;-) So let's hope fate will be kind this few months, and not tempt me further with, oh I don't know, a platinum Lange 1 M...
