What do you guys think of my "poor man's" Datograph???
Actually I mean no disrespect to this Panerai 189 as it happens to be my favorite Panerai made (and I do own this watch) but I always thought that this piece aesthetically kind of looked like the Datograph from a short distance. After wearing a Datograph around for a little over a week there really is no comparison between the two other than the fact that both are chronographs and both have black dials with white sub-dials. With that being said at a quick glance your eyes could be deceived! (Assuming you know what a Datograph or Panerai is in the first place!) It's too bad 40mm Panerai's are often overlooked I happen to think 40mm's is about the perfect size for a watch. This watch in particular houses the famed Lemania chronograph movement, I just wish that the case back was see-through on this piece.
