My pleasure ...

Sorry I did not provide a narrative to go with it. I was half done with the post when I got a call and had to go, so I left it as was.

The Deltawing was fun to watch, but it did not finish the race. The number 16 car in the third picture was one of only two cars in the race in the P1 class. It finished second in its class. It was a lot of fun watching the two P1 cars make their way through traffic and pass one another. I think there were four or five classes of cars in the race and the P1 cars were SO much faster than everything else. They were doing 45 second laps.

We were sitting on what is called "Big Bend" and watched a pack of 911s go by and about 10 seconds later the two P1 cars went by. When they went by on the next lap the P1 cars were quite a ways ahead of the 911's.

Regarding the shots of the parked cars, most of the owners were very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions ...and even let you sit in their cars. Sitting in a 1.3 million dollar car (the Bugatti), while not the highlight of my day, was pretty darn cool (yet very HOT!).

My favorite car in the race was the red Ferrari. The P1 and P2 cars sounded more like boats than cars. Fun to watch, unimpressive to listen to. The Vipers were insanely loud, as was the black BMW. But, the Ferrari absolutely sang ...it was as beautiful to watch as it was to listen to.

Beautiful noise.

Dean.
