Query about 50 fathom movements
Before I pull the trigger on a vintage fifty fathoms, I need to make sure on a few things. I have read through some of the excellent sites relating to these models, but am still a little confused regarding the various movements.
While I understand that a number of different companies supplied movements , which are considered the true Blancpain movements? Were the other movements supplied as 'ebauche' or completed movements? Lastly, are their any things in particular one should look out for when buying a fifty fathoms that might be foreign to a new buyer?
Any advice would be appreciated.
