In the next few days, I will (once again) receive a new watch. As my collection has grown beyond all plans this year, I’ve decided it’s time to “declutter” a little.
This also means letting go of some pieces that are absolutely beautiful, but simply don’t fit my personal wearing style. One of them is this Rolex GMT-Master II in Everose Gold (“Rootbeer”). The watch is in immaculate, near-mint condition, worn only 8–10 times over the last 18 months. It is not unworn – but virtually as new.
Why I am selling it: I am trying to reduce my collection and part with watches I don’t wear often. This Rolex is the perfect example: stunning in design, highly functional, extremely precise – but simply too eye-catching for me when traveling. There is no rational reason to let it go other than an emotional one: I want to make space for new acquisitions. Every watch in my collection should carry weight and be worn. If a piece spends most of its life in the safe, like this Rolex, then someone else should enjoy it more. And I think that this watch finds the best home here on this site full of watch lovers and enthusiasts.
