"Me and Eric down by the jewelry store" - - my Overseas adventure (long)

 

OK, so it worked for Paul Simon and Julio, but not for Eric and me. Anyway......

A few weeks ago I proposed a sale of a watch to Eric. I was trying to raise cash to buy a VC Overseas that had been in the back of my head since I first saw it 18 months ago. It is a bit different than most. As you all know, Eric formerly had an Overseas, so we got to talking about them. While we did not conclude the sale we were discussing, we reinforced each other quite well and both became Eric's proverbial "men on a mission" - both committed to adding a VC Overseas to our collections.

Eric scored first, acquiring the wonderful black dial model he has already shown you. Mine arrived on Saturday. Here's the story, with a few photos:
