2000 posts and recap of my horological 2015
Time flies and it is the end of et another year. One in which I managed to crack the second round posting number - yes, not yet in the phase where I count every 10.000 as significant
Been quite a year given that I both joined and started taking the watch hobby more seriously only last year. Quite some additions to the collection (now I can truly use the plural form), even if it probably remains exceedingly small by the standards of most of the other members
Managed to bag my first 'community watch', get the first vintage piece, first Grand Seiko and first high beat movement. So here in no particular order some of the moments captured of both the year and the first 2000
Here the ABR while playing with our daughter - both desinfectable and sufficiently robust for handling a little girl
The second Chopard - the MM2014 - which was snatched away before I had the time to even put it on - but it does suit my wife better and even with the smaller strap for her it just fits and I am allowed to occassionally wear it
First vintage piece, from Eterna and also the first with a high beat movement. Lots of smiles for the buck, even if I wear it infrequently. And I felt a piano shot had to be integrated into the post
First Grand Seiko - an SBGX097 with a dark green dial. Also the only quartz watch I got this year - but truly nice; zero second of deviation over four months and all the GS finishing one is used to for an unbetable price. And thank you Ken for all the help here - much obliged!
Probably the watch I was looking forward to most - thought it was already out of reach and gone but by a stroke of luck managed to bag my first Grand Seiko Special - the SBGH035. Amazing timekeeping, mesmerising dial, simply a super cool watch IMHO.
The year also saw me see the first of the PuristSPro members live - thanks for your impeccable hospitality and a wonderful evening in Singapore, Robin! And to the next Vienna / Budapest visit deOwar
Also been to the first watch exhibition, albeit a small one - Vienna time. Lovely event, giving one the opportunity to interact with the manufacturers, particularly the smaller ones.
Hope that 2016 will be just as interesting a year and fear you will see some more posts of mine for the foreseeable future

Wish you all a great weekend, thanks for having me here and creating such a warm, welcoming, informtive and amusing atmosphere here, and let's see if 2016 brings something even more exciting
