5712g v ss
For quite some time, I have wanted to purchase the 5712 ss. When I finally had the oportunity to purchase the watch last week, I saw the white gold version and thought it looked stunning. My wife--the boss--also was more inclined towards the white gold version, so that's the one I bought. I love the watch but feel that it's not a "pure" nautilus since the original was created in stainless steel. Would it have been a better choice to go with steel? Would appreciate some thoughts. Thanks

5712 g is the best looking Nautilus...
imho. The original came w/o complications, so they can't be compared, either. And furthermore I think it's hard to compare a watch with a metal band to a watch with a leather strap. Your gut feeling (and your wife ;-) ) haven prob. chosen right.
